Through sensory journaling, we awaken to the present moment as embodied beings in the living world.
Marie has more than two decades of experience facilitating workshops in creativity and contemplative practice. She has taught storytelling and content design at postgraduate level, weaving journaling into her teaching as a mindfulness and reflective tool. A writer of poetry and songs, she is currently working on her first non-fiction book.
She runs the Maresme Writing Club, a writing and journaling community north of Barcelona, and facilitates “Sensory Journaling” and “Writing with Nature” sessions in the forest on her regenerative smallholding. She is the founder of ParadisiLife, hosting creative experiences in the Catalan woods, and leads a Regenerative Living Lab exploring new ways of living, creating, and learning in closer relationship with the natural world.
Her work is rooted in supporting people to reconnect with nature, creativity, and their own inner essence through embodied, sensory, and reflective practices that invite presence, attention, and deeper listening.
Quotes from previous workshops:
“Even though I write daily, Marie led me into unfamiliar territory, and I enjoyed writing from a new perspective. Nature was a great trigger and motivator, allowing thoughts and reflections to flow.” (Tati)
“I awakened to a deeper awareness of my senses: the fragrance of the earth, the texture of stillness, the richness of each taste, everything felt alive.” (Mazin)

Sensory Journaling is an invitation to awaken and reconnect with our senses, both through the present moment and the memories we hold. By tuning into sight, smell, touch, taste, and sound, we open a doorway to our inner landscape, and rediscover our wild, sensing selves.
We explore a selection of freshly hand-picked natural elements gathered from the land. Guided by a series of sensory prompts, we journal the sensations, images, emotions, and memories that arise as we engage with nature through our senses. Each encounter becomes a catalyst for reflection. It is a simple yet powerful ritual that we can return to anytime, bringing us into contact with nature and our sensory world.
Together, we explore journaling as a practice of deep listening, to our senses, to the wisdom of nature, and to the stories stirring within. The workshop concludes with a closing circle, where we are invited to share reflections and experiences from the journey.
