Miranda van der Vegt

“When writing, we naturally find our way to what truly matters to us.”

Miranda is a journaling guide, nature-based coach and founder of Schrijftuintje (The Writing Garden), based in the Netherlands. She has been keeping journals since childhood, but writing became a true lifeline when she lost her husband at the age of 34. Her journal became a safe place to land, helping her navigate grief one word at a time.

Today, she offers that same space to others through writing circles, workshops, retreats and nature-based writing experiences. Since 2019, she is training writing coaches and journaling facilitators, helping others to guide intuitive and reflective writing practices in their own coaching business. Her guiding belief is simple: when we write, we naturally find our way to what truly matters to us. http://www.schrijftuintje.nl

Grief changes us. Whether we have lost a loved one, a relationship, a dream, our health, or a familiar way of life, loss often leaves us searching for words. In this gentle and supportive workshop, we explore how journaling can become a safe place to land in times of grief. Writing offers a space where everything is welcome—the sadness, the questions, the memories, the love, and even the moments of laughter that can unexpectedly arise alongside loss. Through guided journaling exercises, reflective prompts, and optional sharing in a compassionate writing circle, you will be invited to explore your own experience of loss. The circle offers a space of listening, recognition, and connection—a reminder that we do not have to carry our stories alone.
